Song Of The Day 6/30/2012: 10cc - "I'm Mandy Fly Me"

Far and away my favorite 10cc song. Its origin came from old print advertisements from now-defunct National Airlines, featuring actual National flight attendants (back then we called them "stewardesses" and they liked it) encouraging people to fly National. The tag line was "I'm Cheryl. Fly Me." The beautiful stewardess would beckon you onboard. Once Eric Stewart of 10cc saw a big poster from this campaign while "a serious tramp, quite a raggedy guy, (was) looking up at this girl." 

And that tramp, boys and girls... was me.

Just kidding. I've just always wanted to say that.
