Song Of The Day 7/26/2012: Bill Evans Trio - "When I Fall In Love" (Live, 1978)

I've been searching everywhere for Bill Evans' solo recording of this song, sans the Trio, but it's been fruitless. My jazz teacher in college first played that version for me. Evans reconstructed the song so dramatically that it bore only a skeletal resemblance to the original melody. I don't recall whether it was my teacher who told me this quote or whether I read it later, but the comment was "Any teenager can play the piece, but only Bill Evans could think it up."

This is the closest I could come to the spirit of that recording.
