Song Of The Day 9/8/2012: Furious Pig - "I Don't Like Your Face"

This confrontational lil' number first passed before my ears via a WFMU DJ compilation called Obey The New Wave, which you can obtain right now for nothing right here. The piece dates back to 1980. Furious Pig were a British punk band who ditched their instruments, went a cappella, and recorded an EP of exhilarating, wordless nonsense. Of course they were short-lived. I'd think the calisthenics required to keep up this kind of performance would be too exhausting to pursue long-term. You might find this song intolerable, but I think it's astonishing, and besides it's short. They have another song that goes eight-plus minutes, in case your primal scream group had to cancel on you today.
