1. Nitro - "Freight Train" (4/13)
As if there was any doubt. It's impossible to resist any aspect of this song. The quadruple arachnid electric guitar in the thumbnail iced it. Happening upon this song on the internet was sort of like obtaining the holy grail for me. I'd heard this metal band with an impossibly skilled falsetto singer nearly 20 years ago and had struggled to remember or find out who it was. Then I web-surfed and discovered it was Nitro. They broke more champagne glasses than a million Memorex cassette tape commercials.
