Song Of The Day 10/30/2013: Salty Holmes - "The Ghost Song"

Halloween Week: As flung in my direction by Brooks Martin, here is country singer, movie actor and vocal contortionist Salty Holmes appearing on the Grand Ole Opry stage with "The Ghost Song." The video is possibly the scariest thing I've come across this week. It's hard to make faces like Holmes does unless your windpipe is under some harsh compression. Holmes was also an esteemed harmonica player who could say things like "Polly wanna cracker?" through his instrument, the way Peter Frampton used the talkbox on his guitar. Sadly Holmes died before he could join Humble Pie. Thanks Brooks!
