Song Of The Day 5/27/2014: Ozzy Osbourne vs. a-ha - "Take Me On the Crazy Train" (Ediskrad Studios)

M*A*S*H*U*P Week: Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" is a complaint about the persistence of warring factions who have wrought their destruction and butchery along the entirety of history, but of which Mr. Osbourne has only recently been made aware. The inability of such monolithic configurations to reconcile their discord through political or sectarian negotiations has placed him onboard a locomotive transport that has anthropomorphized itself; unfortunately such manifestation is a little funny in the head, heedless to the intricate network of guided railways that have taken many centuries and thousands of migrant steelworkers to build. Dinner service, we assume, will not occur as scheduled.

A-ha's "Take On Me" is a Norwegian pop song in which a lovable but uncentered young man refers to certain troubles that he's experiencing, without specifically outlining what such troubles are. He makes some implied, passive-aggressive edicts that he will be leaving the vicinity soon, so his prospective lover should "take on" him before he moves on. It is not stated whether such action will prevent him from leaving, or whether he'll still leave anyway, but to impress his features and abilities upon the woman in question he shows off his three-octave range and wills himself into a two-dimensional comic strip, which doesn't end well.

Pretty sure a couple of you will hate me for this one.
