Mixtape: Demand Nuance

84 minutes of exotica lite, uneasy listening, faux psychedelia and leopard-skin lounge pop, mostly from European sources but with some North Americans thrown in. Demand Nuance was conceived as the soundtrack to the first-class section of a transatlantic flight, circa 1969-70. Drunk entrepreneurs are silently nodding their heads, suave Europeans are distancing themselves from the others, and flight attendants are deciding whose drink to slip a mickey in. The music gets more detached and ominous the more inebriated everyone gets as they slowly lose count of their internal portals. Tötö, I have a feeling we're not in Antwerp anymore.
