Star Time #119: Head Start
This week's Star Time Summer Special is a one-hour tribute to the music of Flying Dutchman Records, the short-lived but forward-thinking label that provided a bracing, daring soundtrack for those surviving the Nixon Administration. What can I say -- it was getting close to July 4th, so I wanted to hear some Gil Scott-Heron (pictured). That's all in the second hour. In the first hour we have some other '70s material loosely organized around social introspection.
