DJ Sotto Voce was the First Lady's Magic 8-Ball Advisor from 1987 to 2017. He took on his post when Nancy Reagan's astrologer fell ill with insurance fraud. He rose to the invisible equivalent of prominence in the 1990s after he was mistakenly appointed to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, when the post was supposed to go to a set of runes. He has written several books about his experiences, including Better Not Tell You Now: Hillary, Me, and the Second Clinton Term; Reply Hazy: Laura Bush's Secret WMD Search; and Outlook Not So Good: Melania's Lost Weekend at La Guardia.
