Song Of The Day 6/13/2012: Bionic Boogie - "Hot Butterfly"

Heard this on Monica's show on WFMU. Despite the cheesiness of just about every angle in the marketing and presentation of this song (perhaps best exemplified by the cover as seen above, which looks like Tim Curry rummaging through the Divine Miss M's reject pile), I kind of love it. Gregg Diamond was a jazz and disco wunderkind who had a few nom de plumes, including Bionic Boogie. The lead singer on this song went on to much greater fame. Guess/Wikipedia who it is?
