A sweet little song from the founding member of The Move, ELO and Wizzard, three groups I feel uncommonly ardent about. "Wake Up" is from Wood's solo album Boulders. I've always wanted to cover this song live. I'd stand in front of a microphone with a bag full of pebbles, which I would throw into a mic'd bucket of water to simulate the on-the-beat sound effects in this song. It would be a logistical nightmare, but for the right price, I'd risk the electrocution.
