Song Of The Day 1/8/2013: Flight Of The Conchords - "Bowie"

It's David Bowie's birthday. Bowie turned out to be the most common cultural touchstone of all the kids I hung out with when I was a teenager, with the possible exception of the metal kids. Other than that he crossed all boundaries, which was kind of the point anyway, wasn't it?

So in honor of one of my heroes, I thought I'd pick the one song that he did over the course of his career that spoke to me most pointedly, that reinforced my identity most confidently, and made me realize the value of being different.

But instead, I'll put up Flight Of The Conchords' Bowie parody.
