Song Of The Day 1/24/2017: The Roches – “The Hallelujah Chorus”

Quarterly Covers Report - This was the first thing I ever heard from the Roches. Actually I saw it on Saturday Night Live. I don't claim to have been one of those gifted kids -- well, that's a lie, I was -- but even at the young age I was exposed to them, and this, I got why it was amusing. It's kind of amazing how they managed this trick without resorting to cheap sacrilege. Not that sacrilege would have affected my affection for this song at all. We'll not hear three voices like this again, though, that's for sure. RIP Maggie.
