In an effort to make myself look more scholarly and less zany to potential employers and research institutes, this week
Star Time launches the first of a 10-week summer program featuring music grouped together in service to some kind of theme. I'm calling this series the "Star Time Summer Special" series, which not only gives it a friendly ID, but also frees me from any responsibility to do it during autumn, winter or spring. The first episode, which starts in the second hour, focuses on the career and music of New Orleans R&B godhead Allen Toussaint.
