Star Time #75: Drop the Bomb
Because of the chronological restraints we don't get a lot of hip-hop on Star Time, so when we do we tend to organize a whole special around it. And even in this week's Summer Special tribute to Sugar Hill Records, the label which pretty much introduced everybody to rap, there are some funk, disco and soul ballads in the mix as well. It's classic material, utilizing primitive technology like early drum machines and, uh, a live band playing Chic's "Good Times." It's all in the second half of this week's show. In the first half: additional music!
