Mixtape: The Long Road to Denim

Now that Status Update: is out of the way for the foreseeable future (gonna wait until somebody actually listens to the back episodes before I entertain thoughts of a revival), let's get back to the lightly themed mixtapes that brought home the bacon before last February. The Long Road to Denim is a brief road trip into '60s psych-pop and more down-home '70s freedom rock, informed by a wonderful compilation series called Piccadilly Sunshine but ultimately winding up in the dungarees of a laid-back bar band with noble aspirations of actually getting paid for the night. It drifts for an hour, but happily so. Sure is nice not to sweat over segues for a change.
