Mixtape: The Art of Giving Up 3

For what's likely the final mixtape of 2018, here's the third volume of outsider music featuring songs and sonic expression that are either winsomely amateur, conceptually iffy, awkwardly executed, just plain bad or any combination thereof.* (I cut two songs out of this show because they were too good.) This compilation owes a heavy debt to the currently dormant blog Music for Maniacs, as a lot of these songs were featured in that site's past posts. We've got a heavily German Lou Reed cover, several stabs at rap, a rather crude emasculation fantasy, the sonic equivalent of taxidermy, the wonderful Jan Terri, a moon landing conspiracy, and a gospel song actually called... well, I'll leave that one for you to find out. And much more. Enjoy. And if you don't enjoy, please don't take it out on me. Just the messenger. (Contains some explicit lyrics.)

*Except Brute Force's "King of Fuh," which is perfectly embroidered and should be a national anthem somewhere.
