Song Of The Day 12/24/2012: Martin Newell -- "Christmas In Suburbia"

On the eleventh day of Christmas, I give you one of my top five or so Christmas rock songs, ever. From Martin Newell, renown for Cleaners From Venus, "Christmas In Suburbia" is noted for Newell's pronunciation of the "t" in "Christmas" instead of leaving it silent. Also, from what I can tell, the story of the song resembles the kinds of ad-hoc Christmases I had in suburban Sacramento as a late teenager, when I had to go to other folks' houses since my family didn't celebrate Christmas. It was pretty much as is described here, without the Britishness. Merry Christmas darling.
