Song Of The Day 1/3/2013: Sotho Sounds - "Ithuteng (Learn)"

Lesotho is a mountainous, landlocked country, surrounded completely by the Republic of South Africa. Sotho Sounds were a group of shepherds who built their own instruments out of scrap metal and stray wires. Their new album Junk Funk came out a few months ago (though this track is not on it), and it's impossible to describe how breathless this music sounds, how motivating their truly homemade process feels. Kinda makes the protagonist's oversized complaints on Pink Floyd's The Wall look a little peevish by comparison.
