Song Of The Day 11/21/2013: Saxon - "Dallas 1 P.M."

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the day all of our innocence, nobler ambitions, space-age optimism and doe-eyed faith was stolen from us for good, and no I'm not talking about the day Charles In Charge was canceled. It's the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, which for someone like myself who wasn't alive at the time feels a little remote. I'm kind of caught in the zone between throwing out a post-modern, irreverent comment about it and realizing the event still wrecks a lot of people's heads. So to play off that delicate dance, I thought I'd pick a song about the event from Saxon, who are from England. Hopefully their dispassionate rewind will bring you some perspective.
