Star Time #132: Smarty Pants

New and novice listeners to Star Time may be intrigued by this episode's revelation that there's a chronological "sweet spot" for the R&B played on this show; generally 1966 to 1975, more narrowly 1969 to 1974. This has to do with the development of hippocampal functions in regards to memory (namely mine), the ascendence of string sections in dance music, and the premiere of Soul Train. Hopefully this information will help settle some Master's theses and bar bets. Meanwhile, here's a sweet spot surplus for your weekend.
