Whatever Gets You Thru the Night #12

DJ Sotto Voce is a doo-wop lexicographer. For nearly 70 years he has painstakingly collected the connotative and denotative meanings of the syntaxes on group vocal records. Among his groundbreaking findings are the discoveries that "doo" means "therefore," "wop" means "it follows that," "dip-dip-dip-dip" means "under certain conditions," and "sha-waddy-waddy" means "acquitted, exonerated and forever discharged from and against." He lives under a streetlight in the Bronx.
