Star Time #240: Be My Baby
Happy New Year, 23 days late. Your host is back from his protracted annual holiday break, already addled with a bulging dance card of new responsibilities, exciting opportunities, and to my astonishment a Pro account on Zoom. Star Time is back too with an all-'60s affair as is customary for the first episode of the calendar year. Sadly, it also serves as a moveable tribute to the recently departed Ronnie Spector, with four Ronettes songs sprinkled throughout. A crystalline voice like hers deserves more songs in tribute, but I'm informed that would break the FCC. Godspeed Ronnie.
